Since I was itty-bitty, my mom has always told me how much she’s wanted to show me London. Since I was old enough to appreciate that fact, I’ve looked forward to seeing the City by the Thames by her side. 
In August, we’re making it happen. Virgin Airways is offering a fantastic deal and the time has come to stop putting off until tomorrow what should be done today.
My half of the trip is being funded, in no small part, by the advance I received for Galileo & Cain, so I’d like to take this opportunity to thank those two (imaginary) serial killers for their assistance.
Mom and I are going to be staying in Shepherds Bush. Our itinerary so far includes Charring Cross Road, Westminster Abbey, The Tower of London, the Globe Theatre, the National Theatre, Piccadilly Circus, St. Paul’s Cathedral, and the London Eye.
Any off-the-beaten path suggestions are most welcome.
